Kevin Stone explores sexuality in literary and medical narratives about the integration of the individual into society, in English and German, from the 19th century into the early 20th. He considers how certain categories of sexual desire trouble coming-of-age novels and developmental psychology while also providing authors with a resource to imagine new ways for people to relate to one another socially, sexually, and aesthetically.
