Linh Dinh
Vietnamese-American poet, fiction writer, and essayist Linh Dinh is the author of two collections of short stories, five books of poems, a novel, and numerous translations of Vietnamese poetry and fiction. He is the recipient of the Pew foundation grant, the David T. Wong Fellowship, a Lannan Residency and the Asian American Literary award. Linh Dinh’s presence on campus will be of substantial benefit to several disciplinary constituencies, including Comparative Literature, Asian American Studies, and Southeast Asian Studies. With a series of lectures, workshops, and readings, he will open conversations with faculty and students interested in literature, in globalization and urbanization, and in translation. Linh Dinh will be hosted by the Department of South and Southeast Asian Studies while at Berkeley in spring 2013.
