Lou Silhol-Macher coordinates the Honors Thesis Workshop, Course Threads, and Bear’s Eye View at the Townsend Center. At Berkeley, she is a PhD candidate in German with a designated emphasis in Film & Media Studies. Her dissertation focuses on the motif and aesthetics of formlessness in experimental film and contemporary art. She holds an MA in Film Studies from Université Paris VIII and an MA in German Literature from the Ecole Normale Supérieure, France.
