Doreen St. Félix has been a staff writer at the New Yorker since 2017 and was named the magazine’s television critic in 2019. Previously, she was a culture writer at MTV News and editor-at-large at Lenny Letter. Her writing has appeared in the Times Magazine, New York, Vogue, The Fader, and Pitchfork. St. Félix was named on the Forbes “30 Under 30” media list, and she is the winner of a National Magazine Award for Columns and Commentary.

Hilton Als (English) has been a staff writer at the New Yorker since 1994. His most recent book, White Girls, was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award and winner of the Lambda Literary Award. He received the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for criticism. Als has also done extensive curatorial work, including organizing the 2022 exhibition Joan Didion: What She Means at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.
