Abigail De Kosnik is Assistant Professor in the Berkeley Center for New Media (BCNM) and the Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies. She is co-editor of The Survival of Soap Opera: Strategies for a New Media Era, which will be published by the University Press of Mississippi in December 2010. Her book Illegitimate Media: Minority Discourse and Digital Remix Culture, will be published by University of Georgia Press next year.
Greg Niemeyer is Associate Professor of Art Practice, Film, and the Center for New Media at Berkeley. Professor Niemeyer is involved in the development of the Center for New Media, focusing on the critical analysis of the impact of new media on human experiences. His creative work focuses on the mediation between humans as individuals and humans as a collective through technological means, and emphasizes playful responses to technology.
